Announcing Android 2.3.4
from google mobile forums
Although not all of you have Android 2.3.3 yet, we’re happy to announce Android 2.3.4. This new version introduces an exciting new feature, and also addresses some bugs. We’ve already started sending Android 2.3.4 to Nexus S and Nexus One phones around the world, so if you’ve got one of those phones you should receive an automatic over-the-air update within a few weeks.
If you haven’t received 2.3.3 yet, 2.3.4 will introduce you to several new features such as Google Maps 5.1 with 3D, Voice Search 2.1.1 with Voice Actions and personalized voice search, and the latest version of Google Books.
Google’s new 45° imagery Published on April 28, 2011
Google has recently released a new feature for its Google maps, that allows us to see some (stull few) world locations in a 45º view angle, a bird’s eye view, as if we were standing from a tall building, helicopter, or glider.
Most locations are in the US mainland, but there also quite a few troughout Europe, South Africa, Chile, and Hawaii. Since we’re talking Google, this number is expected to grow fast!
This is the original article on Google’s "Lat Long blog".
And the map with the available 45º imagery locations.
Have fun!
