We class TCA as a Surgical Peel and is only performed by Dr Rahdon either in conjunction with a surgical procedure or as a stand-alone treatment at Body Recon Cosmetic Clinic. The dark areas or freckles may crust, turn black and “peel off’. It takes about four days after the patient finishes peeling for the skin to return to its normal pH and to see the final effects. Generally you will be able to cover the treated areas with make-up within 10 to 14 days. After a Phenol peel, the eyes often swell shut. We only ask that the solution be left on the skin for five hours prior to exercising, washing it off immediately before commencing exercise. Keloid scars are very heavy, raised scar formations.
